A spirit wrap! This thing is awesome, soft and yummy and easy to use. The smallest size is too large for almost all newborns - it's too wide and long for my grandson (born 8.1 lbs, 21 inches long) even at 2 weeks old, but it was still the perfect thing for doctors visits. You can strip them down to their diaper and snuggle or nurse them in this, easily opening it for skin to skin contact, but still keep them toasty in the frigid air conditioning. And then peel it off for the check up. It's wider and longer than a newborn, probably better for a 2 month old. It doesn't wrap tight enough to swaddle and there's the hood anyway, so one can't really let them sleep in it, but oh how I would have loved one for my granddaughter who was born in the winter. Think of it as a warm soft robe! Little pumpkin seems to like it!
